Do whatever you want damnit.

Fill your body with fruit. Eat cookies all day. Pack your stuff and go see the world. Game all day with the blinds shut. Meet new people. Run through a flower field until your legs fall off. Get an office job. Sleep until 2pm.

Just do what makes you hella happy, for fuck sake.

I fucking love Alastair Reynold’s novels.

It just had to be said.

The Wess’har Wars series by Karen Traviss. Simply beautiful. I’ve already tried to recommand these to people, but I just can’t explain the story. It’s so perfect and so full of unexpected things that I don’t want to say too much. But read it !

Thanks! Just purchased the first book for my kindle. The blurb sounds great so I can’t wait to start~!

I love Elder Scroll games, because we all start playing them like: “LET’S EXPLORE THE VASTNESS OF THIS IMMENSE MAP AND EVERYTHING IT HAS TO OFFER!” But, soon, it degrades to: “HA, HA! I WONDER WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF I USE THE CONSOLE COMMANDS TO CLONE SEVEN THOUSAND WHEELS OF CHEESE AND SEND THEM DOWN THIS MOUNTAIN!”

Anyone have any Sci-fi book recommendations?

I’m on a sci-fi binge.

When Saxo describes Lagertha as “flying round” (circumvolare) to the rear of the enemy, he ascribes to her the power of flight, indicating a kinship with the Valkyries. The tale notably recalls that of Kára, the Valkyrie lover of Helgi Haddingjaskati, who flies above Helgi in battle as a swan, casting spells in his support. [x]

Some pirates achieved immortality by great deeds of cruelty or derring-do. Some achieved immortality by amassing great wealth. But the captain had long ago decided that he would, on the whole, prefer to achieve immortality by not dying.
